ABOUT
THE PROCESS

My role is to listen without judgement, and really hear what is being said. However, I will be real and respond in a way that is honest, sensitive and supportive. Taking into consideration that everyone is unique and will have different therapeutic needs.

It is not my place to give advice but to offer support. Until a time when the issues brought into therapy have been supported and the wanted changes have been made.

I most commonly work from an integrative, person-centred approach. However, I also have training  in other approaches including art therapy.

I have a degree in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I am also a pre-accredited member of the IACP

I  have worked with a number of different issues including: anxiety, depression, bullying, bereavements, postnatal depression, eating disorders and suicide.

I lecture and offer courses on a number of different subjects with a large focus on personal development.

If you feel that you need support of any type. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I offer a sliding scale as I feel money should not be an issue as to why people do not get support.

WHAT I'VE DONE

Per Aspera Ad Astra

The above is a latin phrase meaning: Through the rough, to the stars.

I believe this sentence is the perfect description of life as well as therapy. Both can be very difficult and trying. However, they can also be incredibly rewarding and wonderful.
